HEAD BALLOKI

The Balloki Power Plant is a 1,223 MW natural gas power plant completed in mid-2018 in Pattoki, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Cracks began to arise in the pedestal foundation of turbine due to insufficient embedment depth of the anchors that transfer the horizontal component of stresses induced by vibration central support pedestal. A combination of CFRP wrap and concrete encasement was suggested as a rehabilitation potential.
